大分市中心市街地の商業地域に建つ住宅である。準防火地域に対応し、外壁・屋根はガルバリウム鋼板を用いて不燃化を図り、街並みに凛とした佇まいを示す。内部は高断熱・高気密仕様と第一種換気により快適性を確保しつつ、階段吹抜や滑り棒、クライミングウォールを設け、子どもが伸びやかに過ごせる場とした。外観の硬質さに対し、木材や漆喰クロスを多用した内部はやわらかく、都市の中に温もりを宿す空間を実現している。

This residence is located in the commercial district at the heart of Ōita City. In response to its designation as a quasi-fireproof zone, the exterior walls and roof are finished with galvalume steel to ensure fire resistance, giving the building a dignified presence within the streetscape. The interior combines high insulation, airtight construction, and a balanced mechanical ventilation system to secure comfort, while a stairwell atrium, sliding pole, and climbing wall create an environment where children can live and play with freedom. In contrast to the hardness of the exterior, the use of wood and plaster finishes within produces a softer atmosphere, realizing a warm and inviting space in the midst of the city.
